Kathleen Anderson
I received my B.A. in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology from Loyola College in Maryland and then went on to get my Masters in Communication Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating, I moved back home to New York to begin my career. I love working with young children with speech-language and feeding disorders. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am happy to be a part of this school community and look forward to another great school year.

Karen Fassbender

Karen Fassbender has been a social worker for the past sixteen years. She has worked with early intervention and preschool children since receiving her social work license in 1994. In 2005 she received her SDA and SAS in educational administration. Working with children has always been her passion. She started Early Link, PLLC in 2006 and is proud that Early Link is able to provide speech therapy and counseling services to early intervention and preschool children. Early Link is fortunate to be able to conduct their early intervention groups at Windsor Academy. Early Link’s staff loves working in the school environment and have felt so welcomed by Rita Epstein and her staff. Early Link also provides early intervention evaluations at the parents request and by referral from the Orange County Dept. of Health. Karen Fassbender has two daughters, ages 8 and 10 who attended Windsor Academy’s Universal Pre-K program as well. Karen, her husband, two daughters and dog Sammy currently live in New Windsor.

Jen Grammerstorf Jen Grammerstorf

Jen Grammerstorf has been a speech language pathologist for 13 years. She earned her master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Communication Disorders. Jen moved to New Windsor in 2008 and has been working with Early Intervention and Preschool aged children ever since. Jen has worked with children with a variety of communication disorders including articulation/phonological disorders, oral motor/feeding disorders, and receptive/expressive disorders. She has worked with children of all ages with Autism, hearing disorders, Down Syndrome, as well as Apraxia.

Jen love working with this age group because preschoolers are a lot of fun and the process can be so rewarding.  

Jen lives in New Windsor with her husband and three boys. She enjoys hiking, biking, being outdoors and spending time with her family.



Jankie Mangaru

Jankie Mangaru received her Bachelor Of Science Degree in Psychology at Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY and then went on to get a dual degree in a Bachelor of Health Science and a  Masters in Occupational Therapy (OT) at Mercy College. She became  certified and license in  OT in 2004- where she then practiced and gained experience within adult rehabilitation, in hand therapy and in the pediatric population.  After five years of hands on practice, Jankie then went on to pursue her love  for pediatric population by obtaining her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with a Specialty in Pediatric Degree at Rocky Mountain Health Science Program. She then continued her worked with children  to help increase their independence in there functional environment through the use of sensory integration, motor skill acquisition, biomechanical, and psychosocial frame of references. Jankie is certified in Handwriting Without Tears Program,  in establishing Sensory Diets, and is trained in Practical Sense in Sensory Integration Approaches. Jankie is an independent occupational therapy provider for Orange and Ulster County. She lives in Modena, NY with her three children and husband. Jankie has loved the intimate and individual approach that Windsor Academy has taken towards the growth and development of their students.

Cathy Walker Cathy Walker

Cathy Walker has been a speech language pathologist for 19 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and her master’s degree in speech language pathology from Gallaudet University. Since the very beginning of her career, she knew she wanted to work with young children. Cathy has been working with children at Windsor Academy for the past 12 years and loves the warm school environment that exists there. Cathy lives in Wappingers Falls with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her very busy family!!
