The Dance Design School

The Dance & Music Design School will be partnering with Windsor Academy to provide your child with quality dance classes during their regularly scheduled day. All classes are age specific and follow the public school cut off dates. At Dance & Music Design School we teach how your child wants to learn. Your child will learn to dance with a teaching style made for today’s generation of kids. The basic foundation of ballet and dance work is taught using kid friendly imagery and story lines. Music recognition is taught as well as basic body placement. At Dance & Music Design School our teachers understand the need for this age group to move. Most of the exercises have dance steps that encourage movement, as opposed to traditional dance classes that demand standing at the barre or in lines for extended periods of time. While our classes are imaginative and creative, each exercise will lay the foundation for more complex dance training in years to come.
Windsor Academy dancers will be invited to join our Cornwall studio's Year End Show. Preparation will begin in the regularly scheduled classes at Windsor Academy in late March or early April. Dances will be choreographed based on the class work learned during the school year. Ages 6 and up will rent a costume verses buying a costume, saving you hundreds in costume fees. Ages 4 and 5 will buy a costume so parents may keep their child’s first costume as a keepsake. Parents will receive 2 free tickets and 1 free DVD.
Class Attire: Girls – pink tank leotard by Bloch, pink tights, pink faux wrap skirt by Bloch, pink ballet slippers, hair up off the face and neckline. Boys – white t-shirt or Under Armour shirt, black or navy shorts, white or black ballet slippers. Available at The Dance and Music Design School Boutique, Fishkill (845) 896-1111.
