Pre-Kindergarten

Marti Bellino

Marti Bellino is eager to begin her second year at Windsor Academy with the Pre-Kindergarten program. She received her Masters in Education at Adelphi University in 2009. After graduation, she taught elementary school at the Merrick Union Free School District for four years before she and her husband decided to relocate up to the beautiful Hudson Valley. It is her vision to develop a classroom community, conducive to creativity and expression to aid in the personal and educational growth in all of her students. In her spare time, Marti enjoys cooking, singing, and traveling the great outdoors with her husband and son, Oliver.

Miya Bisagna Miya Bisagna
 
Miya Bisagna has been working with children for over 15 years and has taught a variety of age groups. She attended Mount Saint Mary College, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has her permanent New York State certification in Elementary Education, grades Pre-K through 6.

Miya enjoys spending time with family and friends, Broadway, arts and crafts and crocheting.

Miya loves teaching Pre-K and strives to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.

Shima Bisagna
 
 

Shima Bisagna began working at Windsor Academy in 2007.  She has over 15 years experience working with children of all age groups.  Shima received her Bachelor's Degree in English and Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary College.  She is New York State certified in Elementary Education, Pre-K through 6th grade.  It is Shima's goal to create a classroom environment that is safe, nurturing, fun and exciting, where the possibilities are endless!       In her spare time, Shima enjoys reading, baking, Broadway shows and crocheting.  She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.  Shima is looking forward to another wonderful and productive year of learning!

Sarah Saettele

Sarah Saettele (pronounced set-lee) joined the Windsor Academy team in June of 2016. Sarah received her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Missouri and shortly after, she relocated to the beautiful Hudson Valley! Working with children has always been Sarah’s passion. She comes with more than 5 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings ranging from infant/toddler childcare to K-3 elementary school classrooms. As a teacher, Sarah encourages exploration, guides experiences based on individual interests, and strives to provide children with engaging learning opportunities.

When Sarah’s not at school, you’ll find her trying out new recipes, relaxing with a cup of coffee, or spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Katie Stanton Katie Stanton

Katie Stanton grew up in a family of educators and always knew that she wanted to teach. She worked in the early childhood field for a total of 6 years, was a substitute teacher and then moved on to teach fourth grade in the Bronx for two years and is very excited to be returning to Pre-K! She received her bachelors degree in Education and her Masters in Literacy Education at SUNY New Paltz.
Katie believes that each child is unique, learns differently and should have the opportunity to be creative and imaginative while learning. She strives to create authentic, hands on learning experiences that are appropriate for all types of learners.
In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She is especially enjoying being a mom for the first time to her son, Colton, who was born in June 2016!


Erin Taxter
I am a mother of 2 little ones.  My son is 2 ½ and my daughter is 1 ½ .  I have been in child care for 10+ years, and I have my Associate’s degree from SUNY Orange in Social Sciences and Humanities with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  I am currently attending Empire State College pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I am looking forward to being part of the Windsor Academy family.
